4x4 Club Helps Raise Money

4x4-without a Club based in Aldermaston Berkshire has been running for 17 years at Harbour Hill Copse with the aim of having fun off road in four wheel drive vehicles and raising money for good causes. A friend of ours died shortly before Christmas and spent his last days at Sue Ryder Duchess Of Kent Hospice in Reading.
As Boxing Day (26th December 2019) is a charity day meeting at our 4x4 site, Lea Awbery said to his wife Steph, let us raise funds for Duchess of Kent.
On the day the weather was wet, but that never stopped people coming along for the day and help raise funds.
We are so happy to be able to help Duchess of Kent Hospice where our friend Peter Collis was, he came from Burghfield Common and had lots of friends in the Village.

On 7th February 2020 at Duchess of Kent Hospice Liebenrood Road Reading, Lea and Steph Awbery on behalf of 4x4-withoutaclub met Peter’s Son Stewart and Daughter Juliet with Alison Edwards from the Hospice to present a cheque for £530 which was raised at the BoxingDay 4x4 Meeting at Aldermaston.
We Thank Everyone that helped raise this amount with Donations, and Peter’s Family for coming along to the presentation, but most of all Duchess of Kent for there care they gave Peter Collis.
